Do you know any Gen X, Millennials or Gen Z "kids" who'd like to play or learn to play pickleball? The Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball Center is starting up a Millennial's Open Play session on Thursday evenings, 5:30-7pm so please pass this info along to them ... and encourage them to join the Steamboat Springs Pickleball Association (SSPA)!
If they've never played before, there will be volunteers there to teach them. If they don't have their own equipment, there will be some to borrow. If they don't know anyone, they'll be sure to meet lots of new people since everyone will "bump up / bump down" after each game.
Although advance sign-up is not required, it would really help us plan how many courts to reserve if they could email debbie@courtsports4life.org to say they might come and/or if they want to be on the Millennial email list.
Players should bring $5 (or leave their name at the check-in table to charge to a house account), wear a mask when off the court, park only on the far side of Pine Grove Road ... and bring friends!
Here's a photo of the four 20-somethings who started this program off last week ... they had a blast!
