COURTING LOVE CAMPAIGN
September 2025

The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is pleased to announce that renovations of the Tennis Center have officially begun! Work kicked off in late July 2025, immediately following our largest tennis events of the summer, Rare Air Camps and the NTRP Tennis Tournament. Phase I of the Tennis Center renovation includes replacing the exterior membrane and insulation, and adding new LED lighting, all slated for completion mid-October. Phase II of the Tennis Center renovation will include remodeling of interior spaces and resurfacing courts, which will begin after Phase I and further fundraising efforts.
The initial Tennis Center renovation project scope, to elevate the dated Tennis Center to the same quality standard as the Complex’s newly built, state-of-the-art Pickleball Center, included a budget of approximately $1.9M+, that the nonprofit has been fundraising for through its Courting Love campaign, since 2023. Despite the project not yet being fully funded, the Court Sports 4 Life board voted to proceed with Phase I of the Tennis Center renovation project in July and continues to fundraise. So your donations still make a HUGE difference - please consider donating today!
WE WILL BE OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION!
Recently recognized as a USTA 2025 Outstanding Facility at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York as part of the 2025 US Open, the Tennis Center will remain open during construction, with only a partial impact on indoor operations during autumn months.
Where is the Phase I funding coming from? Here's where we stand as of August 2025:
-
$ 500,000 committed by the City of Steamboat Springs towards replacing the membrane
-
$ 158,000 set aside from prior operating surpluses held in a separate account for maintenance
-
$ 1,000,000 in Courting Love gifts and pledges
-
$ 20,700 from our maintenance endowment fund held at Yampa Valley Community Foundation

For a total of $1.7 million!

Please consider giving or pledging now to help us raise the remaining $125,000 for Phase I and potentially giving us a headstart on Phase II. Remember, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit!Plus, Colorado taxpayers receive a 25% credit on their Colorado income tax for cash donations or 12.5% for in-kind donations, including securities.
